Digital Marketing Confidence Boost
Before DOT & Company worked with Mags, she wasn’t confident speaking to clients about their results. Digital Marketing is ever-evolving, so it’s important to keep up to date! We developed an understanding of KPIs and metrics with the use of DOTs glossary.
Meet Matt.

Background
Before working with DOT & Co.:
From Mags | Client Account Manager:
Please tell us the areas of Client Account Management that you want us to help you with the most?
1. I want to be able to set up Asana so it works seamlessly for the Founders, so they can see what they need to see & for my colleagues so they can see tasks and deadlines clearly.
& I want to be able to see all of that information clearly so I don't spend time unnecessarily worrying if we're hitting deadlines, double-checking that my colleagues haven't forgotten to do something for a client.
In my role, it's important for our professionalism to shine through to our clients.
2. FB Ads - I have imposter syndrome!
Quite simply I can talk a good talk because I have 25yrs experience working in media, and radio with very basic digital media knowledge.
I joined SHED 4 weeks before the pandemic hit, I can talk about TOF, MOF, and BOF, I can talk about testing target audiences/ad copy/creatives, and I can ask for access to a clients’ FB business manager. I get lost when we have an ECom client and Shopify questions, I get lost even more when they have a bespoke site and don't use Shopify - so what I really want is a back-to-basics approach to FB ads, not necessarily showing me how to build FB ads, but showing me how to find everything in Ads Manager that we need as an agency in order to work with either a;
1. Lead Gen Client
2. ECom Client (with & without shopify)

Present it to the team for the value add
Over 3 months, the main focus was building out Asana in a way that made sense for the team. Utilizing our DOT templates, we walked through the exact SOP of the onboarding and campaign management system and broke out tasks clearly and granularly.
We also focused on task management and delegation. Being a small team, SHED Social had blended roles, and it was easy for things to slip through the cracks as the team was wearing so many hats. Discussing the CAM role in depth allowed the team to segment their task delegation to utilize strengths and develop strategies to project manage clients’ success.
We also needed to focus on Facebook knowledge and communication. Building confidence to get past imposter syndrome! We developed DOTs Reporting Guide in a way that made sense to be able to speak to SHED’s specific clients. As well as developing meeting scripts.
The Result + CTA
Utilized the DOT template for onboarding and offboarding clients in Asana. Campaign Management tasks were delegated and templated across clients for a full project management system.
Digital Marketing is ever-evolving, so it’s important to keep up to date! Developed an understanding of KPIs and metrics with the use of DOTs glossary. Reporting Guide and Meeting script developed with DOT templates.
SOP should be an evergreen process. It was developed so we can crush those processes and really refine how things look. SOP was developed for a segment of the business, and templated to be expanded upon throughout the biz.
