10 Important Questions You Need to Ask Yourself Before Hiring Someone To Manage Your Clients
You're ready to scale up your agency and hire a team member to manage your clients. Congrats!
But, what do you need to make sure you're prepped with ahead of making this hire?
At DOT & Co., we’re Client Account Managers. We work part-time in multiple agencies at once as that client-facing person, who project manages and is the glue between the agency team, and the client.
Through our experience, we've learned that it takes TIME to implement someone into your team... even if they're highly trained by someone like us!
Here's what you MUST do: understand that you're hiring a human, and they need time to learn about your agency. Patience is going to be key here, and it's not the type of thing where you plug n' play someone into your agency and they know everything in the first week. It takes time.
So, we recommend you start here. Review our CAM Sample Task List to give you a sense of the role. Then, outline what's the most important for this person to learn within the first week, month and 3 months.
Until next time,
Taylor
